Communicate with a Measurement Mindset

.

This Manual is written as a practical guide for the professional
business communicator, a person who all too often is a creative,
'word' person working in an environment filled with analytical,
'numbers' people who want cost/benefit analysis for every line item
in the corporate budget -- including your salary! This manual will help
you bridge that word/number chasm with out requiring you to become
an MBA yourself. Of course, that means that we'll only be hitting the
high points of mathematical concepts that statisticians spend years
studying. Nothing in this manual requires a knowledge of any more
than grammar school arithmetic. Yet I hope that reading this manual makes you start thinking about
how you will measure the effectiveness of each communication project
you undertake before you ever sit down in front of your computer
screen. When you reach this point, you will have entered the
measurement mindset'.
